Hon. Soraga meets ZIPA ..
The Minister of State (President's Office) Labour, Economic Affairs and Investment Hon. Mudrik Ramadhan Soraga said the investment sector is important in promoting and bringing development to the country. Hon. Soraga made the statement during his first visit to the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) office located at Maruhubi on Sunday 22nd November 2020. He said the participation of the private sector in the Government economy is a great opportunity and deserves to be given due weight. This will be achieved through a strong commitment by ZIPA in the implementation of investment, trade, tourism and blue economy policies as well as the participation of all stakeholders providing services to both foreign and local investors. He urged ZIPA to use its resources to promote blue economy investments including hotel investment in the islets. On the other side the Executive Director of ZIPA Mr. Salum Khamis Nassor on behalf of the management thanks the minister for his decision to visit the Authority and assure full support to the Minister.
